Collectors are still bidding at the highest levels for the very best in the world of jewellery.

For example, new records were achieved at all of Christie`s international salerooms  this year resulting in worldwide annual sales of $675million,making Christie`s one of the top jewellery auctioneers of choice for the 20th year in a row.

In April, the “Princie” Diamond,a fancy intense pink Golconda diamond of 34.65 carats, sold in New York for $39.3million and became the most expensive jewel sold at Christie`s.
